Q.What are the dates for FlightSimExpo?
The next FlightSimExpo will be held on June 23-25, 2023 in Houston, TX.
Q.Where will the event be held?

FlightSimExpo Houston will be held at two locations hear Houston’s Hobby Airport. On Friday, June 23, seminars and a welcome social are held at the DoubleTree Hobby Airport. On Saturday and Sunday, the event shifts to the Lone Star Flight Museum at Ellington Airport (EFD) for exhibits and seminars.

Attendees will be able to fly their own aircraft to the event, or drive from nearby hotels. The museum is a 15-minute drive from Hobby Airport (HOU) and 45 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental (IAH).

Q.Will Flight Simulation Association members get special registration rates?
Yes. As in previous years, FSA members will have exclusive access to early-bird registration and discounted rates at the show. Anyone can sign up to be an FSA member—free—at www.flightsimassociation.com.
Q.For those unable to attend in-person, will there be an online component to the event?
Yes. Attendees unable to attend the show in Houston will be able to purchase an online-only registration for access to watch most event seminars from anywhere in the world.
Q.When will more information be available about hotels, attractions, and registration?
We are working with area hotels, attractions like NASA’s Johnson Space Center, Space Center Houston, and government facilities at Ellington Airport to secure discounted rates and special access for registrants. Full travel information will be available when registration opens at the end of the year. We’ll provide an update when it’s time to start booking travel.
Q.Does a FlightSimExpo registration include admission to the Lone Star Flight Museum?
Yes. FlightSimExpo event registration includes admission to the event and the museum.
Q.What will be different about this year’s show?

This will be the first FlightSimExpo that isn’t held at a self-contained venue: the Saturday and Sunday seminars and exhibits will take place at the Lone Star Flight Museum, at Ellington Airport (EFD). However, there will be other activities available as add-ons that take place at area hotels and attractions. We recommend attendees wait to make their travel arrangements until more information about special rates and attractions is available later this year.

The Lone Star Flight Museum is a 130,000 square foot museum and STEM learning center that features year-round aircraft, simulator, and aviation learning exhibits. FlightSimExpo attendees will be able to interact with exhibitors while exploring the museum’s collection of warbirds, fighter jets, drones, and more. Alongside our exhibitors and the museum’s aircraft collection, the venue plays host to the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame, Flight Academy, and more than 10 permanent flight simulators that will be available to attendees during the event.

In addition to the event itself, we’re working on add-on experiences with NASA’s Johnson Space Center, Space Center Houston, local FAA facilities, and more. More details will be available when attendee registration opens later this year.

Q.How was the location determined?
Normally, we determine the location of the show with voting through the community. However, the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a different approach this year. Houston/Texas has been one of the most-requested destinations from attendees in previous years, and we’re very excited about bringing the event to an aviation museum for the first time.
Q.Will there be COVID-19 protocols in place?
As we did with FlightSimExpo 2021 in San Diego, we plan to follow local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 and other attendee health and safety practices. Any requirements will be clearly communicated prior to attendee registration. At the moment, we do not anticipate requirements for masks, social distancing, or any other above-and-beyond safety measures.
Q.How can I engage with attendees prior to and during the event?
We invite everyone to join the Flight Simulation Association Discord to share thoughts and feedback about our show. Become a member for free at www.flightsimassociation.com, then join Discord here. We also invite you to message and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
