Q.What are the dates for FlightSimExpo?
The next FlightSimExpo will be held on June 23-25, 2023 in Houston, TX.
Q.Where will the event be held?

FlightSimExpo Houston will be held at two locations hear Houston’s Hobby Airport. On Friday, June 23, seminars and a welcome social are held at the DoubleTree Hobby Airport. On Saturday and Sunday, the event shifts to the Lone Star Flight Museum at Ellington Airport (EFD) for exhibits and seminars.

Attendees will be able to fly their own aircraft to the event, or drive from nearby hotels. The museum is a 15-minute drive from Hobby Airport (HOU) and 45 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental (IAH).

Q.How do I get from the airport to FlightSimExpo hotels?

See the "To and From the Airport" drop-down on our travel page for transportation options between the airport and FlightSimExpo hotels.

Q.How do I get from FlightSimExpo hotels to the Lone Star Flight Museum?

The Museum is a quick 15-minute drive from the two host hotels. Free parking, rental cars, rideshare, and carpool options make it an easy trip! We’ve made carpooling easy with a dedicated chatroom for attendees on Discord, the social app for FlightSimExpo.

Additionally, coach buses will run a shuttle service to/from the Museum throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. Departing every 20-30 minutes, the buses will stop at the DoubleTree, Marriott, and Lone Star Flight Museum and are free for all FlightSimExpo attendees courtesy of Blackbird Simulations, Thrustmaster, and X-Plane.

Q.Do children get special registration rates?
Yes. Kids 12 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Once the adult is registered, please contact us with your confirmation number and your kids’ name(s). We will add them to your registration at no charge
Q.For those unable to attend in-person, will there be an online component to the event?
Yes. Attendees unable to attend the show in Houston may purchase a $15 online-only registration for access to watch most event seminars from anywhere in the world.
Q.Does a FlightSimExpo registration include admission to the Lone Star Flight Museum?
Yes. FlightSimExpo event registration includes admission to the event and the museum.
Q.How was the location determined?
Normally, we determine the location of the show with voting through the community. However, the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a different approach this year. Houston/Texas has been one of the most-requested destinations from attendees in previous years, and we’re very excited about bringing the event to an aviation museum for the first time.
Q.What steps will be taken to ensure the safety of attendees and exhibitors at the event?
FlightSimExpo has worked with our venues and third-party security providers to conduct a review of security resources and best practices. These best practices will be applied throughout the event. Please wear your FlightSimExpo badge at all times when accessing event venues and expect to see a mix of security and uniformed police officers during conference hours. These officers are in place to ensure the event remains accessible, safe, and welcoming to all registered attendees and partners.
Q.Will there be COVID-19 protocols in place?
As we did with FlightSimExpo 2021 in San Diego, we plan to follow local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 and other attendee health and safety practices. Any requirements will be clearly communicated prior to attendee registration. At the moment, we do not anticipate requirements for masks, social distancing, or any other above-and-beyond safety measures.
Q.How can I engage with attendees prior to and during the event?
We invite everyone to join the Flight Simulation Association Discord to share thoughts and feedback about our show. Become a member for free at, then join Discord here. We also invite you to message and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
