Q.What are the dates for FlightSimExpo?
The next FlightSimExpo will be held on June 23-25, 2023 in Houston, TX.
Q.Where will the event be held?

FlightSimExpo Houston will be held at two locations hear Houston’s Hobby Airport. On Friday, June 23, seminars and a welcome social are held at the DoubleTree Hobby Airport. On Saturday and Sunday, the event shifts to the Lone Star Flight Museum at Ellington Airport (EFD) for exhibits and seminars.

Attendees will be able to fly their own aircraft to the event, or drive from nearby hotels. The museum is a 15-minute drive from Hobby Airport (HOU) and 45 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental (IAH).

Q.How do I get between the two FlightSimExpo locations?

In previous years, attendees were responsible for their own transportation between the host hotel and the airport. This year, airport transportation (from Houston Hobby Airport) is provided, and attendees are responsible for transportation between the host hotels and the Lone Star Flight Museum on Saturday and Sunday.

The Museum is a quick 15-minute drive from the two host hotels. Free parking, rental cars, rideshare, and carpool options make it an easy trip! We’ve made carpooling easy with a dedicated chatroom for attendees on Discord, the social app for this year’s FlightSimExpo.

Q.Will Flight Simulation Association members get special registration rates?
Yes. As in previous years, FSA members will have exclusive access to early-bird registration and discounted rates at the show. Anyone can sign up to be an FSA member—free—at www.flightsimassociation.com.
Q.For those unable to attend in-person, will there be an online component to the event?
Yes. Attendees unable to attend the show in Houston may purchase a $15 online-only registration for access to watch most event seminars from anywhere in the world.
Q.When will more information be available about hotels, attractions, and registration?
You can book hotels and secure deals on airfare now—details are on our Travel page. Meanwhile, we’re working with area attractions like Space Center Houston and government facilities at Ellington Field (EFD) to secure special access for registrants.
Q.Does a FlightSimExpo registration include admission to the Lone Star Flight Museum?
Yes. FlightSimExpo event registration includes admission to the event and the museum.
Q.How was the location determined?
Normally, we determine the location of the show with voting through the community. However, the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a different approach this year. Houston/Texas has been one of the most-requested destinations from attendees in previous years, and we’re very excited about bringing the event to an aviation museum for the first time.
Q.Will there be COVID-19 protocols in place?
As we did with FlightSimExpo 2021 in San Diego, we plan to follow local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 and other attendee health and safety practices. Any requirements will be clearly communicated prior to attendee registration. At the moment, we do not anticipate requirements for masks, social distancing, or any other above-and-beyond safety measures.
Q.How can I engage with attendees prior to and during the event?
We invite everyone to join the Flight Simulation Association Discord to share thoughts and feedback about our show. Become a member for free at www.flightsimassociation.com, then join Discord here. We also invite you to message and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
